Today has just been an incredibly unusual and devastating day for Alabama, and it has been affecting Tennessee as well. The outbreak today is already drawing comparisons to the 1974 "Super Outbreak", but there is no doubt that Alabama has borne the brunt. Nearly every city of considerable size in Alabama has been hit by some kind of strong storm, and downtown Tuscaloosa has now just been slammed by a mile-wide wedge tornado.
