Weather Channel Radar Image, 12:43 AM CT
This radar view with tornado watch boxes from The Weather Channel, taken at 12:43 AM Central Time, gives a snapshot of how large and serious the weather situation currently is in the Midwest. Tornado watch boxes are back-to-back in a line from southeastern Ohio to a northeastern corner of Texas.
Damage reports continue to come in, especially from Missouri, where there is extensive damage being reported in numerous communities and indications are that a potentionally strong tornado remains on the ground southwest of Perryville, Missouri.
This system will move its threat eastward into the Tennessee and Ohio valleys within the next 12 hours, and move further on to the Eastern Seaboard states Monday evening.
Keep tuned here for updates.
