Weather Channel Radar Image, 12:43 AM CT
This radar view with tornado watch boxes from The Weather Channel, taken at 12:43 AM Central Time, gives a snapshot of how large and serious the weather situation currently is in the Midwest. Tornado watch boxes are back-to-back in a line from southeastern Ohio to a northeastern corner of Texas.
Damage reports continue to come in, especially from Missouri, where there is extensive damage being reported in numerous communities and indications are that a potentionally strong tornado remains on the ground southwest of Perryville, Missouri.
This system will move its threat eastward into the Tennessee and Ohio valleys within the next 12 hours, and move further on to the Eastern Seaboard states Monday evening.

SEVERE WEATHER OUTBREAK IN PROGRESS IN MISSOURI, ILLINOIS, ARKANSAS
A very dangerous severe weather outbreak is under way in our Midwestern states early this morning. The worst of it at this time is following Interstate 44 from St. Louis and cuts southwestward through Missouri and dips south into Arkansas. The front of this line has now moved into central Illinois, and is moving eastward. Strong storms are also now developing into Indiana.
This storm system is working its way eastward and is targeting the Ohio and Tennessee valleys for the morning hours, and looks to shift to the Mid-Atlantic and the Eastern Seaboard for the Monday evening hours.
